NAPERVILLE NORTH HIGH SCHOOL: 2.00
The Caxys captured a thrilling overtime win by a score of 3-2 over visiting Naperville North. LFA came out strong in the first quarter by capitalizing on a corner opportunity and scoring with a goal by Peyton Pollack ’27 in the first four minutes of the game. Naperville North came back to tie up the game by the end of the first half. Following the halftime break, the visitors broke through for its second goal after multiple saves by keeper Kelly Cheon ’25 and defensive sweeper Claire Wyngarden ’25. The Caxys fought hard to put in the tying goal and found the net on a beautiful reverse sweep by Jenna Gilani ’26 in the final eight minutes to force overtime. In the extra period, Emma Swanson ’25 scored the winner for the 3-2 win for the Caxys.
