Latin’s depth was too much for LFA as the Caxys dropped a 35-25 decision on the road. Beatrice Franklin ’27, Queenie Wu ’26, and Carla Accogli ’24 led the offense while Lovely Conkle ’26, Heeji Moon ’27, and Elizabeth Villagomez ’27 paced the defense.

The Caxys took the trip into the city and came away with a 28-11 win over Francis Parker. Carla Accogli ’24 got the scoring started with seven points in the first quarter and was followed by Beatrice Franklin ’27 who continued the scoring with nine points in the second quarter, five in the fourth quarter, and a handful of blocked shots. Kyra Quinn ’27, Queenie Wu ’26, and Oliva Roti ’27 also contributed to the offense in the win.

LFA battled in a closely contested game that ended in a 19-18 decision in favor of Regina Dominican. The Caxys took a 13-10 lead after three quarters, but couldn’t hold off Regina Dominican. Queenie Wu ’26, Elizabeth Villagomez ’27, and Beatrice Franklin ’27 were the leading scorers for LFA.

Visiting Grayslake Central opened up a lead and held an 18-10 advantage at halftime. The Caxys couldn’t overcome the deficit in the second half in the 26-18 decision. Beatrice Franklin ’27 knocked down a pair of three-pointers to lead the Caxys.

Caxys Lose: 16.00 - 28.00
The Caxys started strong behind buckets from Beatrice Franklin ’27, Olivia Roti ’27, and Queenie Wu ’26 to take an 8-4 lead in the first quarter. LFA held the advantage into the second quarter before Phillips took an 11-10 lead at halftime. The second half was a hard-fought battle and even before Phillips was able to extend the lead and hold on for a 28-16 decision.
