Boys Varsity Swimming vs. North Shore Country Day School

Caxys Win: 2.00 - 1.00
LFA closed the season on a high note with a win in three sets at North Shore Country Day. The first two sets played close with the two sides splitting the frames with the Caxys winning the first, 25-20, and North Shore Country Day taking the second by a score of 29-27. Anaya MacLennan ’27, Amalia Rosen ’27, and Trisha Yannamsetty ’27 were strong at the net in both sets with multiple blocks. The first set also saw service aces by Amie Brito ’27, Clare Vaughn ’27, Rosen, and Ceci Koenig ’26 leading LFA to the five-point win. Set two was back-and-forth and included three aces by Elizabeth Villagomez ’27. The third set started similarly to the second with a close score before Sari Cheung ’26 tallied an ace and a kill to put LFA ahead, 16-14. After that, Rosen and the Caxys put together a nine-point run to secure the 25-14 final score and win for LFA.

The Caxys came out strong and won the first set by a score of 25-22. Aubrey Ewing ’27, Elizabeth Villagomez ’27, and Clare Vaughn ’27 led LFA in the first-set victory. Woodlands Academy responded and claimed the final two sets by scores of 25-12 and 25-9 to secure the win.

Caxys Lose: 0.00 - 2.00
LFA traveled to Westlake Christian Academy and dropped a 2-0 decision. After a slow start and battling back in the first set, the Caxys came out ready in set two and gained a quick lead from great serving. LFA was unable to keep the lead and lost set two by a score of 25-23. Gabi Stewart ’24 had five aces and a kill. Lilla Szilvassy ’25 had two kills and a solo block.

Caxys Win: 2.00 - 0.00
Lake Forest Academy swept visiting Francis Parker by scores of 25-13 and 25-22. Sari Cheung ’26 started the first set strong with an ace before running the offense by setting up hitters Clare Vaughn ’27, Elizabeth Villagomez ’27, and Amalia Rosen ’27 for multiple point-winning hits and tips. Amie Brito ’27 put the first set away as she recorded nine aces in-a-row that led the Caxys to the opening frame win. The second set played even before LFA held on to clinch the two-set sweep. In the second set, Rosen, Villagomez, Brito, Vaughn and Ceci Koenig ’26 all contributed to the victory.

Caxys Win: 2.00 - 0.00
The girls JV volleyball team opened the season with a 2-0 win over Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep with scores of 27-25 and 25-11.
The first set started slow for the Caxys as Cristo Rey scored nine of the match's first 10 points. Amie Brito ’27 rallied LFA with nine service aces to turn the early deficit into a 23-18 advantage before the Caxys claimed the first set.
The second frame saw a complete team effort with Clare Vaughn ’27 serving up five aces while Elizabeth Villagomez ’27 and Ami Rosen ’27 led the offense along with setter Sari Cheung ’26. On the defensive side of the floor, Harmony Gray ’26, Brito, Ceci Koenig ’26, Anaya Maclennan ’27, and Erin Cho ’25 held off Cristo Rey.
