Boys Varsity Cross Country Hosts ISL Championships

Caxys Lose: -
LFA welcomed the ISL to campus for the Cross Country Championships. The Caxys placed four runners in the top 25 and finished in fourth place. Noah Cedergren ’24 (12th overall) led the squad and was followed by Teddy Berghammer ’25 (16th), Colin Gupta ’24 (19th), and Valor Cutaia ’26 (21st).
The junior varsity race saw LFA place second as Roman McLaurine ’26 (6th overall), Astin Choi ’27 (10th), and Leo Gerstman ’24 (16th) led the team.

The Caxys hosted the 2023 LFA Invitational and finished third among the 10 teams competing. Northridge Prep placed five runners in the top 10 to claim the team leaderboard followed by St. Viator and LFA. The top six runners all posted PRs for LFA with Noah Cedergren ’24 placing seventh overall. He was followed by Teddy Berghammer ’25, Colin Gupta ’24, Valor Cutia ’26, Jerry Ren ’24, and Teddy He ’25 to round out the top six for LFA and each set a PR for the season. He's 26th-place finish tipped the scales in LFA’s favor over North Shore Country Day as a tiebreaker was needed to establish the final team standings.

Lake Forest Academy finished second in the LFA All Comers meet with seven Caxys finishing in the top 20 out of 93 competitors. Latin finished first in the team standings ahead of LFA and North Shore Country Day in third place. The top five runners were Noah Cedergren ’24 (sixth overall), Teddy Berghammer ’25 (eighth), Colin Gupta ’24 (11th), Jerry Ren ’24 (14th), and John David Gallagher ’24 (17th). Jamie Pruett ’24 (19th) and Valor Cutaia ’26 (20th) rounded out the top seven finishers.

Boys Varsity Cross Country Wins LFA Early Season

The Caxys claimed first place in the LFA Early Season in their first home meet of the season. Noah Cedergren ’24 led the field in a time of 18:24.5 over the 5k course through campus. The Caxys took the top four places and seven of the top eight. Top finishers included Teddy Berghammer ’25, Colin Gupta ’24, and Jerry Ren ’24.

Boys Varsity Cross Country at Art Campbell Lake County Invitational

The Caxys opened the season at the Art Campbell Lake County Invitational that featured 15 other schools in addition to LFA competing Ingelside, Ill. Noah Cedergren ’24 led the team with a time of 17:26.69 over the three-mile course. Other top finishers included Colin Gupta ’24, Jerry Ren ’24, John David Gallagher ’24, Teddy He ’25, and Jamie Pruett ’24.
