Biography:
Ed Shaughnessy joined the Lake Forest Academy Science Department in 1994 after four years at Saint James School in Maryland. He has a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Fairfield University. At LFA, Ed teaches AP Physics and Principles of Engineering. Outside of the classroom, he is the varsity boys cross country coach and the varsity baseball coach. Ed will also oversee the robotics club this year. All three of his sons graduated from LFA.
Biography:
Jen Madeley has been a member of the Lake Forest Academy faculty since the 2011-2012 school year and currently serves as one of LFA's School Therapists and the Health, Wellness and Community Department Chair. Jen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), earning her bachelor’s degree in human services from Lake Superior State University and her Master of Social Work degree from Dominican University. Jen currently coaches cross country and has also coached swimming and field hockey, and serves as a dorm parent in Ferry Hall. She has two children, Jenna '11 and Tyler '14. Jen lives with her husband Darrin, LFA’s Athletic Director, in North Cottage with their three cats and two dogs, Laker and Rudie.
