At No. 2 singles, Emma Feltzin ’27 recorded an 8-2 win. At No. 1 doubles, Beatrice Franklin ’27 and Lia Moore ’25 controlled their match and won, 8-2. At No. 2 doubles, Caroline Bierig ’27 and Beatrice Barker ’27 defeated their opponents by a score of 8-5. At No. 3 doubles, Kyra Quinn ’27 and Claire Ireland ’24 took their set, 8-3. The Caxys posted a 4-1 win over visiting University High.  At No. 1 singles, Isabelle Wack ’27 won her match by a score of 8-2. At No. 2 singles, Lindsay Stone ’25 cruised to an 8-0 victory. At No. 1 doubles, Beatrice Franklin ’27 and Lia Moore ’25 pulled away for an 8-2 win. At No. 2 doubles, Caroline Bierig ’27 and Beatrice Barker ’27 came up short in their match. At No. 3 doubles, Kyra Quinn ’27 and Claire Ireland ’24 took their set, 8-5.

Caxys Lose: 2.00 - 3.00
The girls junior varsity team played eight-game pro sets against the Rochelle Zell varsity team. The match featured two singles and three doubles contests along with some exhibition matches that saw Rochelle Zell post a 3-2 decision over the Caxys. At No. 1 singles, Isabelle Wack ’27 played some of her strongest tennis of the season so far and while she ended up dropping the set, she demonstrated great improvement in her consistency and shot selection. At No. 2 singles, Emma Feltzin ’27 took a tough 9-7 set over her opponent that saw her fight back in the match after trailing early. At No. 1 doubles, Beatrice Franklin ’27 and Clare Gartz ’26 fell a bit short against their opponents from Rochelle Zell.  At No. 2 doubles, Caroline Bierig ’27 and Beatrice Barker ’27 posted an 8-5 in their match that included strong play at the net and cross court ground strokes throughout the match. At No. 3 doubles, Claire Ireland ’24 and Sienna Yang ’27 played a real nail biter that eventually went to a tie breaker. After playing even to an 8-8 score, the LFA duo came up short by a score of 7-5 to decide the match. At No. 4 doubles, Mandy Li ’27 and Jessica Xu ’27 made an impressive comeback after falling behind in their match. At No. 5 doubles, Angel Wu ’26 and Kyra Quinn ’27 cruised to a 8-2 victory over their opponents. At No. 6 doubles, Cicily Caruso ’24 and Adele Wu ’27 face a tough set of opponents and dropped their match.

The Caxys faced North Shore Country Day at the AC Nielsen Tennis Center in a match that featured two singles matches and four doubles matches in eight-game pro sets. No. 1 singles: Isabelle Wack ’27 played her first singles match and came up short against a tough opponent. No. 2 singles: Emma Feltzin ’27 played in a back-and-forth match before falling to her opponent. No. 1 doubles: Beatrice Franklin ’27 and Lia Moore ’25 played another close match and took an 8-5 victory for the Caxys. No. 2 doubles: Caroline Bierig ’27 and Mandy Li ’27 forced long rallies throughout their match before coming up short against the opponents. No. 3 doubles: Clare Gartz ’27 and Lindsay Stone ’27 played one of the closest matches of the day, but were on the short end of an 8-6 score. No. 4 doubles: Claire Ireland ’24 and Kyra Quinn ’27 lost their match in a set that came down to the end.

The girls junior varsity tennis team defeated Lake Forest in a match that features all doubles. No. 1 doubles: Emma Feltzin ’27 and Isabelle Wack ’27 found themselves down, 5-1, but rallied to take a 7-5 advantage. The Lake Forest top duo won close games at deuce to tie the match up at 7-7 before the Caxys clinched the team point with a 9-7 decision.  No. 2 doubles: Beatrice Franklin ’27 and Lia Moore ’25 played a close match that went back-and-forth. After going to a tiebreaker, LFA came up just short at 7-4 in the tiebreaker set. No. 3 doubles: Caroline Bierig ’27 and Mandy Li ’27 dropped the match 8-4 with each frame closely contested. No. 4 doubles: Clare Gartz ’26 and Lindsay Stone ’25 played a tight match and came out ahead by a score of 8-6. No. 5 doubles: Claire Ireland ’24 and Kyra Quinn ’27 cruised to a 8-1 victory. No. 6 doubles: Angel Wu ’26 and Sienna Yang ’27 faced a tough team and dropped the match by a score of 6-3. No. 7 doubles: Beatrice Barker ’27 and Jessica Xu ’27 posted a 6-1 victory in their first LFA match.
