Biography:

Paul Makovec joined Lake Forest Academy in 2011 and has been the Chair of the Math Department since 2018. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Math Education from the University of Indianapolis and his Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Ball State University. Besides teaching math at LFA, Paul coaches boys soccer and is a proud dorm parent in Marshall Field House. He lives on campus with his wife Bree and his two daughters.

Jessica Kapadia is the History and Social Science Department Chair. She has worked at Lake Forest Academy since 2015. Jessica graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and history. She earned her Master of Education and ESL certification from National Louis University. Jessica teaches AP World History and United States History. She coaches soccer and is a member of the Writing Center staff. She lives in Highland Park.
