Biography:
Sarah Taylor joined the Lake Forest Academy Science Department in 2021. She has a Ph.D. and Master of Science in Experimental Social Psychology from Ohio University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy & Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At LFA, Sarah teaches AP Psychology and is the head coach of the girls tennis team. From 2018 to 2021, she served as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Ohio Wesleyan University, where she taught Intro to Psychology, Research Methods, Social Psychology, and Psychology of Self. Her research and areas of specialization include social comparison, self-enhancement, and judgments of blame. She lives on campus with her wife and three children.
Biography:
Glinda Hall joined Lake Forest Academy’s English Department full-time for the 2022-23 school year after having a temporary appointment since February 2022. She began her teaching career 25 years ago at public schools in Mississippi, moving three years later to Arkansas. She also has spent 13 years teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at the university level and returned to teaching high school in 2014. Glinda has a bachelor’s and master’s in English and her doctorate in Heritage Studies - an interdisciplinary degree focusing on Cultural Studies and Popular Culture. She coaches girls and boys tennis and lives with her husband Mike in New Hall, while serving as a dorm parent in Atlass Hall. She teaches English 10 and English 12: Debate.
